Matching Potential

Will you fan the flames 

watch the little spark glowing

 tenderly guarding its light?

 over the innocent spark

Some people fan my flames,

they help my happy spark glow more brightly.

Negative people douse my exposed flame,

till I feel like a miserable twig,

wet and smoking,

trying desperately to re-ignite.
